For song "Dos Oruguitas"

Mirabel is part of a magical family though she is the rare member who doesn't have any apparent magical powers.  Her sisters spread beauty and strength, her mother can cure any illness, her cousin can speak with animals, and this Madrigal family is the heartbeat of the small Columbian town called Encanto.  When the magical house they live in begins to crumble, Mirabel is convinced that she can figure out how to save her family and her town, and as the only ordinary Madrigal, she seems just the person to do it.  While she is pursuing the family's salvation, she discovers family secrets and dysfunction long buried and ignored.

I am a big fan of Disney animated features, and this one is no exception.  Another triumph from Lin Manuel Miranda, the big surprise is that the beautiful nominated song, "Dos Orugitas" is not actually the song that has gone completely viral.  That big win goes to "We Don't Talk About Bruno," which every child I know seems to know each word of the very complicated lyrics.  Should this song win, Lin Manuel Miranda will be the youngest "EGOT" winner in history (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony).  Unfortunately for LMM, it is unlikely to happen this year... but we all know it's coming eventually, right?
